古鲁家族曾经遇到不少危险和灾难，像是从满口尖牙的史前怪兽嘴里惊险逃生，并且在世界末日中幸免于难，但是他们现在将面对最大的挑战：另一个家族。
The Guru family has faced its share of dangers and disasters, including a narrow escape from a fanged prehistoric monster and a narrow escape from the end of the world, but now they face their biggest challenge: another family.
古鲁家族需要找到一个全新的地方生活，于是这个史前时代的第一家族就勇闯新世界，寻找一个全新的家园。当他们找到一个受到周全保护，风景优美、气候宜人，完全符合他们需求的人间乐园的时候，他们都觉得他们所有的问题都解决了…除了一件麻烦事，那就是有另一个家族已经住在那里：郝野人家族。
The Gurus needed to find a new place to live, so the first family in prehistoric times ventured into the new world in search of a new home. All their problems were solved when they found a paradise that was perfectly protected, beautiful, and temperate, and met their needs… Except for one nuisance: another family was already living there: the Hollow.
郝野人家族顾名思义就是他们的生活过得比古鲁家族好太多了，他们有豪华的树屋、各种先进的发明，以及拥有人工灌溉系统，一望无际的新鲜菜园。换句话说，他们比古鲁家族进步太多了。当他们招待古鲁家族成为史上第一个到别人家作客的客人之后，古鲁这个山顶洞人家族和郝野人这个现代家族很快就产生了越来越激烈的冲突和矛盾。
The Hoyos, as the name suggests, live far better than the Gurus, with luxurious tree houses, advanced inventions, artificial irrigation systems, and endless fresh gardens. In other words, they are far more advanced than the Gurus. When they hosted the Guru family as the first ever guest to someone else's home, the conflict between the Guru family of cavemen and the modern family of Hoye people soon became more and more bitter and contradictory.
当这两个家族看似水火不容的时候，一个全新的威胁即将迫使他们远离安逸的田园生活，前往危险的外面世界展开一场史诗级的冒险旅程。他们不只是必须接受和拥抱彼此之间的不同、从对方身上得到力量，而且必须共同创造一个美好的未来。
When the two families seem at loggerheads, a new threat is about to force them to leave their comfortable idyllic lives and embark on an epic adventure into the dangerous outside world. They must not only accept and embrace their differences and draw strength from each other, but they must build a better future together.
